I visited the cemetery today, as it was both my mother’s memorial day and my grandfather’s birthday.

It was rainy and cold, but I’m so glad I went ♡♡

Next to our family grave 🪦 rests the sisters from my school. They came from Ireland, and those who passed away in Japan now rest in the foreign cemetery. The young sisters who came during my mother’s student days later became my homeroom teachers. Such nostalgic memories.

As always, the cherry blossoms 🌸 above my mother’s grave were in full bloom this year.

ママの命日とおじいちゃまのお誕生日だったのでお墓参りに行ってきました。

雨で寒かったけれど行って良かった♡♡

我が家のお墓の隣りは母校のシスター達。アイルランドから来ていたけれど、みんな日本で亡くなったシスター達は外人墓地に眠っています。ママの学生時代にアイルランドから来た若いシスター達が私の時代には私の担任だったり。懐かしい。
